Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Fan Makes Fuecoco Evolution Inspired by St. George Dragon
-
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet still has not revealed the evolutions for any of the starter Pokemon in the game's roster, leading fans to continue to make up their own adaptations of final evolutions as well as the entire evolution tree. One Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan has created their own adaptation of Fuecoco's final evolution based on the dragon from the legend of St George.
Fuecoco is the fire-type starter Pokemon that will be in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. St. George is a catholic saint that was executed for his faith by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Many years after his death, there was a legend that he had killed a dragon that had been holding a princess captive. He became a famous patron saint for knights of medieval times.
Reddit client PaleAd6109 posted their variant of Fuecoco's final evolution, and it's based on St. George's dragon. PaleAd109 said in the first remark that this variant of Fuecoco's evolution is based on albino crocodiles and the dragon from St. George's legend. They also said that the evolution follows the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks claiming that Fuecoco could be Fire/Ghost-type in its final evolution. The image PaleAd109 posted shows a crocodile with a reversal of Fuecoco's shading with wings jumping out of its back.
This interpretation of Fuecoco's final evolution isn't the first one to be shared and is probably not going to be the last until Game Freak finally releases the official evolution tree. This particular one has a couple of valid justifications detailed in the remarks of the post that give it a place in the new district. One analyst raised the point that St. George is available in Catalonian culture, which Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is apparently inspired by, making it fit into what fans are familiar the game's legend.
Fuecoco's evolution has been a disruptive subject since the announcement of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with many variants being created by fans. This one feels the most plausible with its plan being basic however yet close enough to Fuecoco itself that its real final evolution could have a similar look. Since the debate on what food Fuecoco is based on has been laid to rest, evolution plans like this one from fans indicate a more realistic crocodile focus on the Pokemon.

While each of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's starter Pokemon are cherished by fans who keep on making awesome fan art based on them. The speculation fans have for each Pokemon's evolution is probably going to go on until any official announcements are made. Up to that point, Pokemon fans remain invigorated and eager for more information as well as the release of the game in the not so distant future.
